Fix Your Item

Start your journey with repair with in-person Fixit Clinics
Fixit Clinics are troubleshooting and discovery workshops staffed by volunteer Fixit Coaches.
You are expected to actively participate in the disassembly, troubleshooting, and repair of your
item so that you leave fully empowered to share your new-found confidence and insight with
your friends, neighbors, and the community at large.

Upcoming Events
This calendar lists events primarily in Los Angeles County (California, USA), Northern California and in Massachusetts, USA; other Fixit Clinic locations promote and list their events locally.

How to Participate in In-Person Repair Clinics:
Use this Google Form to register your item for your local fixit clinic.
• Bring the item with all parts necessary to recreate the symptoms (carry-in only: no oversize items).
• Bring any parts and tools you already own that might be helpful.
• Come ready to clearly describe what’s wrong and what you’ve tried (Tip: advance web
research about your item is especially helpful)
• Come eager to learn and to share your skills and knowledge with others
• Please fill out the Broken Item Report afterwards to help us track your broken and/or
repaired item and help contribute your knowledge to our community.

You can also connect with an online community of repairers through the Global Fixers Discord Server, select the "Online repair via Discord:𝙂𝙡𝙤𝙗𝙖𝙡 𝙁𝙞𝙭𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙧" from the pulldown menu and complete the rest of the form to start the on-boarding process.

IMPORTANT: Fixit Clinic is not a free repair service. Fixit Clinic is a troubleshooting and discovery workshop staffed by volunteer Fixit Coaches: you are expected to actively participate in the disassembly, troubleshooting, and repair of your item so that you leave fully empowered to share your new-found confidence and insight with your friends, neighbors, and the community at large.
REPAIR is not assured: while we do have an excellent track record any specific item can have issues that make it unrepairable or we can exacerbate the problem during our attempts to repair it.

Thanks, and we're looking forward to seeing your smiling face at Fixit Clinic!
